Radisson Hotel Saskatoon

The Canadian Symposium for Home Economics/Family Studies Educators has met nine times in various locations in Canada. It provides a forum for sharing information and research and for action planning to strengthen home economics/family studies education in the future. In April 2007 100 home economics/family studies educators from across Canada met to listen, share and discuss the issues relevant to us as educators.

At the symposium home economics/family studies educators make presentations on relevant issues such as the use of technology in the home economics/family studies classroom, health and wellness issues such as the new Canada's Food Guide, promoting home economic/family studies programs to parents, students and the community, integrating family studies into the primary/junior classroom, and how global issues can be addressed in the home economics/family studies classroom.

Saskatoon looks forward to hosting a symposium that attendees find professionally and personally exhilarating.
